On a cheese board , ideally the Vale da Prata Buttery Cheese can be opened at the top, to taste its interior with a spoon.

At your table among friends it can also be served in slices, including the cheese rind. As it is a soft cheese, all the flavor is close to the rind.

Serra da Estrela Cheese should be served at temperatures below 18 degrees.

If your cheese is vacuum packed, we advise you to remove it from the vacuum 24 hours before consumption to let it breathe , thus ensuring the release of accumulated dairy acid and normalization of the bouquet and taste.

Note: Inedible rind.
