“Hot and good…” is what the sale of roasted chestnuts on Portuguese streets proclaims. They are the protagonists of Magusto, a popular festival celebrated on November 11th, where, according to tradition, friends and family gather around the bonfire to share joyfully. This celebration is associated with the Legend of Saint Martin, a benevolent knight who cut his cape in two to give it to a beggar. At that moment, the dark clouds disappeared and the sun emerged, and the good weather lasted for three days. Enjoy this dried fruit now through this smokey and subtly astringent liqueur. Drink chilled. To your health!
